So as most of you know, i'm off to Nairobi, Kenya for three months to do some chillin' as well as a little bit of straight illin', mixed in with some hundred dolla billin'. Officially i'm going there with Students for Development, funded by AUCC and CIDA, to hang out with Kenyan youth and talk about conflict resolution, leadership and HIV/AIDS awareness. Should be good times! i'm currently pooping myself a little bit because i've never been to Africa, but mostly i'm just excited.
Right now i'm sitting in the badass lounge at Pearson airport cuz daddy hooked a sistah up! There's copious amounts of free alcohol, so don't be surprised if i start to make little sense as this post continues....i fly out in a few hours, first to Istanbul (10.5 hours) and then to Nairobi (6.5 hours). i land in Nairobi at 1am on Saturday, so i should be looking preeeetty wrecked by then. Never fear though, friends! i have a backpack full of books, twizzlers and maltesers, so i should be a-okay.
i'll try to update my blog as often as possible (i have no idea what sort of internet access i will have, so bear with me) as well as answer all of your burning questions, such as....IS there a tim horton's in africa?? i know you're all DYING to know.
i'm gonna peace out for now and enjoy myself some more free wine, but PLEASE let me know how all of you are doing. e-mail me, facebook me, ESP me some of your thoughts. i can't guarantee that i'll be able to write back right away to everything (especially the ESP, my skillz are a little rusty), but i will read it all, i PROMISE! i love you all and i will miss you oh so much!
so until next time, keep fit and have fun! holla!!

have so much fun!
ReplyDeleteyou might not find many tim horton's, but you will probably see alot of kids wearing tim horton's shirts. that's something i noticed.
